The York Merchant on Market is the next trend in shopping — city located, plenty of parking, daily hours of operation, and a room full of craftsmen, makers, and artists eager to provide you with an up-close shopping experience. Operated by craft people, this shopping experience allows the customer to stroll the hardwood floors of the one-time New York Wire Company building. They have the opportunity to share the ideas and passions of the makers, under one roof. The York Merchant occupies a portion of the New York Wire Works building, repurposing the industrial experience with a shopping environment suitable for today’s artisan spirit. We intend to build a culture of craftsmanship, a respect for all things found and made, centered in York, PA.

THE CLASSROOM
The classroom area is where vendors host events to provide guidance and instruction to those interested with making the product that the vendor is promoting in their Merchant Booth. Whenever a class is held, The York Merchant will be open for the participants to visit all of the booths and complete purchases. Vendors may charge a fee for classes.
